Gefle Student Union do not own the apartments, but we handle applications, contracts, keys and termination of accommodation agreements. The housing companies handle other hings, such as billing the rent and and janitor service.
How to apply
Through our online accomodation system, you can register an account, pay your Student Union and accommodation fee and apply for accommodation. Click here to sign up.
All students have an equal right to search apartments thru our system.

Important!
There are some rules that you as a prospective student must meet in order to put you in the queue for the student accommodation. There are no exceptions to these rules.
These rules are:
• you must study a minimum of 15 credits per semester
• Student Union fee must be paid
• Accommodation fee must be paid - 400 SEK
• You must register your letter of admission at Gefle Student Union.
Both fees can be paid by credit card after you registered an account. If you choose to pay online through our system, your payment will be registered in our system automatically.
When you have received your letter of admission from the University of Gävle, you must register this in our system for your accommodation account to be activated in the queue system. You can register your letter by sending it to us by email, fax, mail or simply show it to us in the Student Union reception.
Your date of activation in the accommodation queue is regulated by the date of the last fulfilled criteria. However, you can still apply for apartments in our system without an active account, but you will not be in queue until all 3 criteria is met.
NOTE! There are many students seeking housing and the same rules apply to everyone.

Sign in with your username and select “Kår- och förmedlingsavgift”.
Then select “Förmedlingsavgift” to pay the accommodation fee and “Gå vidare till kassan” (go to payment), “jag godkänner betalningsvillkoren” (Iaccept the payment conditions) and “gå vidare till betalning” (Forward to payment). Under “2. Fyll i kreditkortsinformationen nedan” (credit card information) you have to write your number of your mastercard (kreditkortsinformation), how long it is valid (giltighetstid) CVC = number on the back of your card, and click on “skicka betalning” (send to pay).
